A Story of Saint Dominic

How many Saints do you know that stay at their monasteries all day and all night and do what most of use wouldn't do?

Saint Dominic was restless, but full of energy, every night after his fellow preachers were asleep Dominic would get out of bed and stroll over to the Chapel. There was a single candle lit and only he, himself alone with God. You could say that it was an never ending adoration. Dominic was very fond of God, and had a strong prayer life that most of us may never be able to accomplish, in fact our Holy Father Dominic was so fond of God that every single night in the Chapel he would not only pray, but praise and sing and outstretch his arms out to God. And just go nuts!

Well...After this became an often hobby, some of his fellow preachers finally knew what Dominic was up too. (No doubt, Dominic probably woke up with circles under his eyes every morning from only sleeping five hours!)Little did he know that he was soon being watched, for there was a secret small window that opened up and looked into the Chapel. That's how they kept an eye on their fellow founder.

Nevertheless, no controversy was ever made between sleepless nights and the Holy man, as the story concludes, Dominic kept with this Holy hobby, and some today still believe that Dominic keeps his nightwatch with God, praying, praising, singing, and outstretching his arms to that awesome being who created Heaven and Earth.
