Good Luck!

Well...Good luck all schoolers Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College, student teachers, and new teachers. School for me starts tomorrow - I am a God "Junior" this year. :)

May you all be blessed and filled with grace and patience as we enter into the new world of "learning" - I'd like to post a blog post from Sister Consolata's blog:

Not too long ago I was a student. Papers, projects, tests, and reading consumed my time and thoughts. Planning when it would all somehow get accomplished seemed overwhelming at times. HOW and WHEN were constant questions. Too much!! Have you ever felt that way?

Well, I have a tip for you! I learned this one from another Sister. She and I would have our moments of stress and to add to it, we would have random, unexpected commitments come up. Talk about adding to the stress level! Well, she taught me how to give thanks! Yes, in the midst of those moments when there was just too much to do and not enough time we would say a litany of praise and thanksgiving…thanking the Lord for all He would accomplish!

“Thank you Lord for your assistance in writing this paper.”

“Thank you Lord for your peace.”

“Thank you for the gift of life.”

“Thank you Lord for the gift of learning.”
(That’s right…a reminder of the gift of education.)

“Thank you Lord for…” you fill in the blank

In the midst of this litany we experienced a peace in recognizing the Giver of all gifts. We were reminded of Who is in control and who is not. We put our trust in Him.

So, the next time you are feeling overwhelmed take a moment to stop and pray a litany of gratitude! Thank the Lord and experience His peace.
