So....there is alll this talk about the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist, but as the Holy Recruit Council it is the job to promote more then just "active" communities.
How bout, the Dominican Nuns of Our Lady of the Rosary Monastery in Summit, New Jersey? Yes...another Dominican community. I heard news that two out of three aspirants want to enter next year to this community. Thats IS all the information I have at the present time on that present situation.
Now back to active. I heard that more people at the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist recevied applications then any other retreat they Sisters have had.
Isnt God amazing? To both His community of children. I mean come on the cloistered, its kinda hard when you think about it - to get vocations. Not being able to GO OUT in the world, even though they are apart of it.
Please....even if religious life/priesthood isnt in your mind at all, GO to a couple of communities. It doesnt hurt. Honestly it doesnt hurt. The retreaters can even testify to that. I recall one girl saying that the retreat has helped her to understand better her vocation of marriage, and one even said that it HELPED her find her vocation to marriage. And several to just even the call to single life.
It doesnt hurt...God calls us all. No matter what vocation. Try it. If your called to religious life, nourish it. Give them, give God a chance.
